Who or what agency do I file a claim to start an investigation against a corporation that hires illegal and untrained immigrants to perform work when the U.S. professional employees refuse to accept any additional jobs because they are not being paid for work performed? Is it a federal agency or Florida Labor or Workforce Commission? Is there a web-site with a form I can fill in and submit to implement the investigation into the corporation? If not, how do I contact the agency? |

Hello, According to the Immigration and Naturalization Service, you should contact the closest field office. The following offices are in Florida: 7880 Biscayne Blvd., 9th Floor Miami, FL 33138 (305) 762-3610 4121 Southpoint Blvd. Jacksonville, FL 32216 (904) 232-3156 9403 Tradeport Drive Orlando, FL 32827 (407) 855-4418 301 Broadway Riviera Beach, FL 33404 (no phone number listed) 5524 W. Cypress St. Tampa, FL 33607-1708 (813) 637-3050 For more information on the topic, see (http://www.ins.gov/graphics/howdoi/illegal.htm). There is a Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (http://www.state.fl.us/dbpr/). However, they would only handle issues dealing with businesses that require special licenses from the state, such as accountants and real-estate agents. The Florida Department of Labor recently was eliminated. Because immigration is a federal issue, you should focus your energies on the federal government, notably the INS. I hope this answer meets your needs. |
