I need some advice on how to get more free traffic to my site?

I?m not a democrat and I don?t have any money, so I?m looking for
some ways to get visitors to my site for free.

I just need to know where to find the volunteers, or how to get the
free traffic; I heard that banner exchange can negatively influence
the pageRank, and it will slow down the visitors arriving from search
engines..??
Also I would need to find some Blog script in PHP, but only some good
search engine friendly script? 
I know I want too much for $3? 
I think I need help from people who understand what I?m trying to do here, and why?

I do not mean this as an insult, but the material on your site is
tired and unoriginal. The "Bush résumé" is currently posted on more
than one hundred other websites. If you create some original and
provocative new material, your URL is likely to be passed around like
wildfire, and you'll get lots of visitors. As it is, you offer nothing
that isn't already out there.

you are right, but I know there is a lot of people (more than you
think) who didn?t see ?Bush résumé?, I think there is many unique
things also, like galleries and guestbook comments on my site.  I?m
not good in English, so I will have to find copywriter to write
article on my index page. The most content of my site is in the
guestbook and Faq, so I was thinking to find some Blog script in PHP,
so the site can create its content dynamically..
