Error message after installing Windows SP2:
XRTPSYF.exe dll initialization failed. Since installing the package it
seems like the system is searching for that file (which exist in
windows/system32) but can not find it. Therefore the cursor/hour glass
are always present.

Remember that installed spyware could cause troubles in SP2
installation and running.

Try to remove xrtpsyf file from the start up list.

Thank for taking the time to answer my request.

Spybot was remove. Then I run MSCONFIG and went into startup folder
and removed the check mark for the file. When I try to re-boot the
machine I got errors and the system mark-check the file again.
By the way, previous to all this I uninstalled services pack 2.

Currently I do not have the error again but I would like to install the SP-2.

Any more ideas?

Thanks,

chechovasquez
