how many american troops died during the occupation of germany and Japan?
Need numbers during the 10 year period of 1945 to 1955 for Germany and
the 7 years during the occuption of Japan.

The deaths that occured in occupied Japan and Germany were chiefly due
to things like traffic accidents, barroom fights between allied
troops, ammunition mishpas, and so on.  The nmuber of deaths from
hostile actions by the Japanese or Germans were pretty close to zero.

Can you elaborate on whether you're looking for total fatalities, or
those from hostile activities.

Actually, I do know I've read about resistance groups after the war's
end...It's just a matter of finding the correct data...
