What is the correct/safest procedure to move an in place user folder
within the Documents and Settings folder to a completely separate
drive on my home pc?

What I was referring to as a 'user folder' was actually meant as my
entire profile folder. i.e. folder's directly within the 'Documents
and Settings' folder. Hope this is clear enough?
