What web browser are you using (Internet Explorer, Netscape, Firefox)? If you're using IE, go to "Tools->Internet Options..." Under the general tab hit "Delete Files..." then "Clear History". That should remove any cookies that are tracking you. You can then go to the privacy tab and set your privacy level higher to prevent cookies in the future. **It is possible that your personal information is also being tracked by adware. There are many free adware removing programs like adaware or spybot. http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/ http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html Make sure you sepecify that you want the free version |

I believe tj10 is asking how to remove individual pages from search engines. He searched for his name (probably on Google) and some unsavory posts from the past or something of the sort come up. Unfortunately there is no way to do this if you do not have access to the server that the site is being hosted on. My suggestion would be to "better your name" by posting intelligent threads to slashdot (http://slashdot.org) or the sort so they appear much higher in the results list than the past blemishes. - Cary |
