You may wish to check the manufacturer's website-- Le Creuset, for example, has a replacement policy when its pots get damaged (scroll to the bottom of http://www.lecreuset.com/new/warranties.php : even if you've voided the warranty, they'll sell you a replacement for half-price. The catch is that you have to cover the postage for mailing your pot back to them, and them things is heavy). But http://doityourself.com/clean/porcelainenamel.htm flatly says that any repairs of chipped porcelain over metal should be left to professionals, and "Never attempt such repair on utensils used for preparing or cooking food." |
