I have searched Cnet and ZDnet for a file conversion software program that converts MIDI files to WAV files and have had no success. I need to be able to take a downloaded MIDI file and either convert it to a WAV file or find a MIDI player that will slow the music considerably without changing the pitch. I have Cakewalk Home 2002 and should be able to load a MIDI file but have been unable to do so. Any Help? |

Hi, I remember wanting to do the same thing a few months ago. Ultimately I discovered that there hardware I using wasn't sufficient to do everything I wanted it to do. Hopefully you won't have that problem. Here are some software packages that claim to easily convert MIDI files to WAV format: Band-in-a-Box http://www.pgmusic.com/bandbox.htm MidiSyn http://planeta.clix.pt/acesteves/MidiSyn/MSynMain.htm Audio Compositor http://home.att.net/~audiocompositor/ WAVmaker http://www.polyhedric.com/software/wavmaker/ Midi2Wav http://www.midi2wav.com/ SeerMusic http://www.seermusic.com/index.html Google search term used: "midi to wav" ://www.google.com/search?q=%22midi+to+wav%22 I found the above conversion programs (and others) on the following page: BuildOrBuy Group Network http://www.buildorbuy.org/wavtomidi.html I hope one of these software applications does the job you want. Best wishes, mvguy |
