Question ID: 40035
I administer a small web site with frontpage server extension 2002. I
need a script or what not that can do the following, assuming my
domain is root.mydom111.com:

1) create a new root site root.mydom111.com in which only
administrators can publish to
2) create a user subweb in which only user joe can author (ie publish
to). user IUSR_xxx can still browse. subweb resides inside
root.mydom11.com/joe
3) when needed, something to disable joe from authoring again
4) joe should NOT be able to publish to root.mydom11.com. Only to
root.mydom.com11/joe

I need it to be as automated as possible so that I can create 50
subwebs if needed quickly. Also, please remember that it must work
with Frontpage server environment. Script should be written in vbs and
inputted via a csv text file. If you have a better solution, I'm
willing to consider it.

Hi
Do you mean createing a new website under IIS5 and then creating
subweb/virtual directories(for users) under new website and modify
authoring permission. I have script (vbs) for installing my website
related projects which can be used with some mdifications.
