Are you certain that it isn't "sulfur + oxygen = sulfur dioxide" or
"sulfur dioxide + oxygen = sulfur trioxide"?

Hi desperateforhelp!!

2 SO2 + O2 ---> 2 SO3

You have in the left side 2 atoms of sulfur and 6 (= 2x2 + 2) atoms of oxygen.
You have in the right side 2 atoms of sulfur and 6 (= 2x3) atoms of oxygen.
