Coke seeks dismissal of fired exec's lawsuit

Bloomberg News
Published on: 09/03/04

Coca-Cola Co. asked a judge to throw out a racketeering lawsuit filed
by a fired former vice president, saying he has no grounds to bring
the litigation.

Robert Lowe, 49, was fired from Coca-Cola in April 2003 for falsifying
travel expense reports, the company's lawyer, Michael Johnston, told
the judge. In April, Lowe filed wrongful termination suits in state
and federal courts in Atlanta, alleging that company officials
conspired to fire him for threatening to report fraud and Coca-Cola's
use of moldy beverage dispensers.
