I'm looking for streaming video or streaming audio lectures (video
would be nicer) for any undergraduate course on "complex analysis" or
"functions of a complex variable" (should cover Cauchy's Theorem,
Laurent series, Residues, etc.) If the lectures are audio only, a link
to the lecture slides is essential.
Many universities restrict access to online materials, but some don't.
MIT's lecture videos are EXCELLENT.

Here is an example of an audio lecture recording intended only for
current students of the University of Melbourne, but freely available,
although buried.

I would like to know where course such as complex analysis, functions
of a complex variables, Cauchy's theorem, laurent series, residues,
etc. fall under.
Do they fall under the Program of Applied Mathematics?
Thanks.

Yes, it is an applied mathematics subject. Here is the handbook entry
for this subject at my uni:

I forgot to ask,...
how long should the video/audio lectures be?
by the way, I found some lectures you may or may not find useful.
Please let me know what you think of the following on these pages:
Search for "cauchy"
http://search.singingfish.com/mvc/search?query=cauchy&search.x=22&search.y=11
Search For "complex numbers"
http://search.singingfish.com/mvc/search?query=%22complex+numbers%22&SEARCH.x=22&SEARCH.y=11&duration=&av=av&fmt=&category=
Thanks.

No, these aren't really what I was hoping for.
What I want is an ENTIRE COURSE, i.e. around 36 50-minute lectures.
The two links I provided are examples of this.
The subject "complex analysis" is taught in the 2nd year (European
universities) and 3rd year (US universities) of the majority of
undergraduate majors in pure math. The syllabus is quite standard.
I need this subject as a prerequisite for next semester (so I don't
delay my degree), so it's important that the whole subject is covered.
Many thanks,
Maqqa

Hi,
The only lectures I was able to find that I did find lectures ( In
Progress already ) for Applied Mathematics:
Webpage: http://www.amath.washington.edu/courses/401-autumn-2003/
The lectures can only be viewed from 1:30-2:20pm [Pacific Standard Time]
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Video Lecture page:
http://www.engr.washington.edu/edge/amath401/amath401vd.html
Please let me know if that helps you with your situation.
Hope to hear from you soon.

hmmm... looks like just what I wanted, except that it won't start
until Sep 29. Although it looks like the lectures are available "on
demand" after they are given, I'll still have to wait until February
or so until they're all up there.
If you could find me one that is available NOW, that'd be GREAT.
Otherwise, well, what do you suggest?
Thanks,
Maqqa

I have looked but could not find any lectures that would span
an entire semester.
I would suggest:
1.) picking up a really good textbook on Pure Mathematics or Applied Mathematics.
2.) sitting in a few lectures either at your school or a school nearby
that is hopefully focused on Pure Maths.

Hi there,
I thought I'd have a crack at this one as well, but it's a bit hard to
know whether a given course fully meets your needs or not.
Only one way to know for sure! Please have a look at this link:
http://caster.ee.pitt.edu/~producer/Manfredi_fa02.html
and let me know if it fits he bill.
Thanks.

Those are really nice, but it's not the right course. The one I want
should be called "complex analysis" or "functions of a complex
variable". Here's a couple of examples of the subject I want:
