Hello PhDseeker-ga,
I found a databases that purportedly allows searches of college
programs based on level of degree offered, as well as the type of
program offered. When I searched for PhD programs in taxation, the
database returned 61 results. The first ten on the list are:
AMERICAN UNIVERSITY WASHINGTON, DC
ARIZONA STATE UNIVERSITY-MAIN CAMPUS TEMPE, AZ
BAYLOR UNIVERSITY WACO, TX
CASE WESTERN RESERVE UNIVERSITY CLEVELAND, OH
DEPAUL UNIVERSITY CHICAGO, IL
DREXEL UNIVERSITY PHILADELPHIA, PA
DUQUESNE UNIVERSITY PITTSBURGH, PA
FAIRLEIGH DICKINSON UNIVERSITY-ALL CAMPUSES TEANECK, NJ
FLORIDA ATLANTIC UNIVERSITY-BOCA RATON BOCA RATON, FL
FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY MIAMI, FL
Unfortunately, when I spot-checked some of the universities on the
list, it was clear that they didn't, in fact, all offer
doctorate-level degrees in Taxation.
They all do seem to have at least a Master's level program in Taxation
(as far as I can tell from my spot-checks), but not necessarily a
doctoral program.
Nevertheless, the list can at least narrow down your subsequent
searching from thousands of colleges, to just 61, so I thought it may
be of some interest.
Let me know if you would like me to post the 61 colleges as an answer
to your question, even though the list is not exclusively focused on
PhD level Taxation programs.
I look forward to hearing from you.
