There is a reference to him here: http://members.inode.at/m.wastl/pdf/Cembalo.pdf One Mr Pordage was singing together with Italian cembalo player Giovanni Battista Draghi (* ca. 1640, ? London 1708) at one occasion just before 28. January 1685. Your headline says "opera singers", what other singers are you enquiring about?! |

Hi sunjan-ga - thanks for that reference, very helpful. I put "opera singers" in the headline because that is the general subject. My interest is that he is likely to be a distant relative and I am tracking down what I can about him before I start trawling the non-electronic sources!
