"Measure twice, cut once" is a real carpenter's slogan (Norm Abrams used to say this on "This Old House.") The Dilbert version, as I recall it, has the Pointy-Haired Boss seeking a new slogan for a construction project. Dilbert sarcastically suggests "Measure once, cut twice." The boss loves it. |

That's the one. I'd just like the date for that comic on dilbert.com which unfortunately doesnt allow any kind of search... |
