Hello,
My new site, www.altfg.com (Alternative Film Guide), found its way
into the Google search engine this past Saturday. However, the next
day -- and since then -- the site is listed at the bottom of the list
and only one page appears. All other pages are gone. Is that a glitch?
Do those things happen normally?
Note: I created the site myself and I don't use anyone or any company
to help me promote it.

There is no answer at this time.

I wonder what you were searching for?

If you go to google.com and search for:

"passionately love the art of cinema"

(with the quotes), I think you will be impressed by the results.

You could also search for:

"Stanwyck vehicle Baby Face"

(with or without the quotes), and as of today (20 Sep 2004), your site
would fare rather well.

When you change the content of your site, you affect how it will turn
up on Google. It doesn't appear that the changes you have been making
have been tailored to improve your ranking.

The next most important thing is, which sites are linking to yours?

Thank you for the response.
Only three sites have links to my site at the moment. I'm working on
getting more. Just joined some "link exchange" site. Not sure how that
will work. But I'll soon find out.
Thanks again.

I don't know how much link exchange is going to work. If you'll search
GA, on "link exchange" you'll see that most advices regard link
exchage as useless or worse.

Thank you for the comment about "link exchange" sites. It's true. They
don't really work. . .
