My Sony VAIO PCG-FX120 notebook computer has stopped working. Upon boot it displays the "Sony Vaio" logo, then goes to a blank screen and halts. The day before this happend I did a full system restore. It rebooted fine a number of times as I uninstalled unused OEM software. The last thing I did with the computer was delete the extra online services setup files. I have tried booting from CD-ROM with a recovery disk, the same blank screen comes up. I have tried booting from a Windows ME recovery floppy disk and the same blank screen comes up. I have seen a similar problem to this before, where removing the power supply and the battery for a short while and then rebooting fixed the issue. This does NOT work for fix my current problem. I have tried holding left control, escape and other keys while powering on the unit. How do I fix this computer? | |
