Question ID: 40160
Can anyone recommend inbound link opportunities for
LittleHardHats.com, producers of childrens videos . Educational or
parenting portals, portals that serve people in the Construction of
Firefighting industries - free opportunities would be preferred.

I don't know exactly how to make this work, but I will pay more than
$2 for big well researched lists.

Dear timberline,

I took a look at your site in order to understand the products you
sell.
The following links are suggestions. I have browsed through each of
these sites and can assure you that they are appropriate,
"kid-orriented," and educational.

An on-line newspaper for kids:
http://www.kidsnewsroom.org

A children's site discussing the United States Fire Administration:
http://www.usfa.fema.gov/kids/

An educational and fun site- just for kids!
http://www.kidsdomain.com/

A site for parents:
http://www.connectforkids.org/

Young kids will love this site:
http://disney.go.com/educational/classroom.html

A coloring book about firefighters:
http://www.preschoolcoloringbook.com/color/cpfire.shtml

Search strategy:

I used my favorite search engine, Google, and typed in the following:

kids
://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=kids

parents
://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=parents&btnG=Google+Search

kids firefighter
://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=kids+firefighter&btnG=Google+Search

A couple years ago, I ran an on-line bussiness, selling children's
books. Several of the links I gave you were posted on my site.

Are these the kinds of links that you were looking for? If not, always
feel free to contact me.

Best regards,

ukiguy

I didn't give 5 stars because the answer wasn't exactly what I wanted,
but this was largely due to my not being sufficiently explicit about
what I wanted when I asked the question.

Hello Timberline,

You say you would pay more than $2 for longer lists.
Typically, one determines the level of detail for an answer -- and
time of research that will be invested answering it -- by setting the
right price before-hand, since there is no built-in mechanism to "tip"
a researcher after the answer has been given (that is, other than by
giving a good rating).

Good luck with your question!

Thank you both for the responses.

Ukiguy, I looked at the sites you recommended and agree that they
would be "on target" for me. However, I was looking for sites where I
could get a link in. While I understand that it would be virtually
impossible to know for sure if I site would be amenable to linking, I
do think that a number of the sites you mention should be seen as
particularly unlikely candidates.

That said, I do appreciate your effort and will pay the $2 bounty.
The fault lies in an imprecise question. I will rewrite the
description to specify that this is what I am looking for and repost.

I will also give positive feedback. Does 4 out of 5 seem fair under
the circumstances?

Oops, I forgot to give examples:

The Disney site is not a good link prospect IMO
Likewise: http://www.usfa.fema.gov/kids/

. . . but I could be wrong.
