When will the Hitachi DZ MV 270 camcorder be on the US market?
I've seen a lot of remarks about it happenning in June 2002,
but I can't find it for sale anyplace.

camcorder. The answer to your question is yes, a limited supply of
Hitachi DZ-MV270a DVD-R camcorders is presently available in the US
market, but only in selected locations.


I found the article dated January 8, 2002 published on the Hitachi
Website where they stated that the Hitachi camcorder DZ-MV270A would
be available in June 2002.

I sent an e-mail to Renee Linholm and to Greg Belloni inquiring about
the availability of the Hitachi camcorder DZ-MV270A in the USA. Their
contact information was found at the end of the above article.

Renee Linholm answered my e-mail promptly. Here is the copy of his
answer.


“Thank you for your interest in Hitachi's new DZ-MV270A DVD camcorder.
The camcorder is in selected Circuit City and Sears stores around the
country. Unfortunately, I am not sure which stores specifically. Since
there is a limited supply, I suggest you contact Hitachi at
1.800.HITACHI to get more information. I wish I could be more helpful.

I also sent an e-mail to customer service at the Hitachi Website
(customerservice.ce@hhea.hitachi.com) inquiring about the Hitachi
camcorder DZ-MV270A and after about an hour I received the following
answer from Melissa.


“Thank you for visiting the Hitachi website and for your inquiry.
Currently, Circuit City is distributing DVD camcorders.
Or you may contact the dealer below:
