Need recommendation for a stable firewire 400 and USB 2.0 PCI card for a server

What brand and model of PCI card has the most stable drivers and won?t
com[promise the stability of a Windows 2003 server?

I heard poorly written hardware drivers were one of the leading causes
of windows crashes and instability in Windows based PCs.

How about a recommendation for a stable IDE PCI card so I can add 2
more IDE drives to this server.
