Question ID: 402118
When I was young I enjoyed watching horror movies on a rainy Friday
night with my Mom. One favorite, (which I can't remember the name)
took place in an old country setting, where a menacing biker gang
believed, that you
would come back to life immortal if you committed suicide..but only if
you truly believed this. One girl in the movie never truly believed
but tried to fake that she was immortal and that she committed
suicide. The main character (I believe her boyfriend) didn't believe
her and at the end had tried to force her into proving her
immortality. Ultimately, each member that came back to life turned
into Stonehenge at the end. Stonehenge is the place where the gang
held several meetings throughut the movie. I don't remember any of the
characters names since this was around 30 yrs ago and haven't seen the
movie since. Please help!

Dear rayfee,

The movie you remember is without the slightest doubt "Psychomania".
This British horror film from 1971 has all the elements you mentioned,
as these excerpts from a review show:

"Henson is the long-haired leader of 'The Living Dead', an obnoxious
motorcycle gang whose favorite hangout is a remote field containing a
Stonehenge-like aggregation of rocks."

"Henson discovers the secret of eternal life: willingly commit suicide
in the belief that you'll come back from the dead and once zombified,
nothing can kill you."

"Henson's girl friend, Larkin, really doesn't want to kill herself,
leading to tension between her and Henson."

"Psychomania" is even available on DVD in the United States, for
example from Amazon for $9.99:
