How can I extract an audio clip (raw wave, mp3, ...) from a .msg file? More specifically, I would like to extract the sound out of Notes in MS Outlook. I can do File/Save As.. to save any note as a .msg file, but hit a brick wall in pulling out the audio for consumption by another program. I uploaded an example file to: http://www.viratech.com/adam/test.msg Thanks! |

Well, guy, you must have some special software, because when I open that message it says: "To view/edit your notes, see the Notes section of the ReadCE file, located on the ActiveSync CD." That tells me that you have a PDA (handheld) that provides this feature, which is not an Outlook feature. |

Yes, the note came from a PDA running Pocket Outlook. I guess the ActiveSync software installs some kind of file format adapters into Outlook that aren't native. ActiveSync is freely downloadable from MS if you want to try it out (you don't need a PDA). Thanks, Adam |
