Why not choose Microsoft Retail Management System software for "Point of
Sale" (POS)software for a small business.  What are the most important
things to consider when picking out such software.  I would need the
software to work well with Microsoft Office products; it should also
be fairly powerful.  Will Microsoft's software likely be software that
Microsoft treats as their long-term solution to POS software.  It
would help me to find AT LEAST one unbiased review of POS software.

I am looking for a review of Microsoft Retail Managment System: Store
Operations and other software packages, with particular attention paid
to why MS RMS isn't the best software available for a relatively small
retail business.
