I would like to know how I can modify a Linux skel folder to configure Gnome to point to $HOME/.photos/desktop.jpg At default, it points to /usr/share/backgrounds/images/default.png When a new user account is created by using the skel, the default location would become /home/(usernamehere)/.photos/desktop.jpg --------------------- Purpose: I have installed a collection of photos in a folder on the LTSP server. Each user account has a script which will automatically make a symbolic link to a picture in the collection. The script chooses a random photo and creates a symbolic link called desktop.jpg. I have got this to work, but need a way to edit the skel folder to change the background path for each user. In short: Everytime a user logs into Gnome, they get a new random background! :-) Thanks! |
