We are in the need of a low cost 780-820nm laser, <$70/pcs in larger
volumes (1,000 ? 10,000 pcs), that can deliver a beam of 50 mW or
more. The laser should be focused at 5 ? 60 mm, and have a beam size
of 2-8 mm, and be mounted with a collimation lens.

Please supply us with a list of possible choices of lasers that meets
the above mentioned requirements.

the cheapest way used to be to simply take one out of a CD player...
But your specs require a wide beam with very high intensity, are you
sure you want a beam you'd almost have to block with a brick?
