"Dental implants account for 7 percent (USD 1 billion) of the global
dental market. It is the fastest growing segment with a forecasted
growth rate of around 18 percent followed by Cosmetic dentistry.

Europe is the largest regional market, followed by the US and Asia.
The highest growth rate is being seen in the US, which is a younger
and less penetrated market with a slightly larger number of edentulous
or partly edentulous patients. Implants represent 50 percent of sales,
abutments 35-40 percent and instruments 10-15 percent."
