Question ID: 402670
I am trying to rip a segment of video from an encrypted DVD to my hard
drive, so that I may use it for the purpose of video editing for
personal use on a nonlinear system (Adobe Premiere). Any
recommendations on software or other tool I can use to achieve this?
I don't want to have to rip the whole movie. Looking for something
that is user-friendly. I'm not super-computer proficient. I am
willing to purchase software if needed. The video would need to
ultimately be converted into an AVI file or other type compatible with
my editing system.

What you want to do is use tmpgenc to convert it after you have it
ripped to your hdd. Tmpgenc is the most versitle program for
converting movies. It will handle anything. And if it says it don't
then you cam just play around with the inviromental settings and it
will work. Just check out the http://www.vcdhelp.com that i have
posted. It is your best resource.
