What are the best(not most popular!) software titles to track personal investment portfolios? A great answer would include products handling U.S. and non-U.S. stocks and mutual funds, as well as sovereign bonds and real estate, all in major international currencies. |

I have been looking for this type of software for some weeks. To my surprise this turned out to be difficult task. After hours of searching, it is clear that Quicken and MS Money are the popular programns. They are more bill paying and personal budget programs, portfolio management is just an addition. In addition to these two I found loads of doubtful offers. I was not able to find any serious comparison of investing software. NAIC software (http://www.better-investing.org/) seems best right now. I did not try it yet thought. I have been looking for piece of software that helps me with stock screening, portfolio management and performance tracking. I currently use mainly finance.yahoo.com and Excel. This involves more manual work than I would like. I wonder what professionals and advanced amateurs/semi pros use? Teemu |
