HUGE TIP for a Macromedia FLASH MX MASTER, needed a.s.p. When you click a button, a movie clip plays backwards(or in reverse). Heres how the movie is set up: movie clips (in order from the timeline in through the movie clips): main timeline all (movie clip) thing2 (movie clip) bh2 (movie clip) thing2 = where the animation is that I want to reverse. bh2 = located inside thing2, this is where the button has to be. I know there are ways to do this, but I can't get it to work in this specific setup. IT HAS TO BE IN THIS SETUP. The faster answered, the bigger the tip!!! (I can give you an .fla to see how it is setup if needed) |

hello there, this is not a problem. it involves targeting the thing2 movie clip from the bh2 movie clip button and a looping code movie clip that checks what frame the thing2 movie is on and moves it back one frame. the looping action is what plays the movie in reverse. i would be happy to replicate this in a model like the one you described above for you. i just found out about this google answers thing today - i'm not even sure how to post an 'answer' to your question - i only see where i can post a comment. please let me know if you still need help with this. thanks, scott |

ps - you can see a similar sample of this on a website i did - the upper left hand navigation triggers a 3-D movie that plays backwards when you roll out of the buttons - http://compoundatl.com/ scott |
