Whenever I close Internet Explorer, a popup advertisement appears. I
need to get rid of this ASAP.

A common link it sends me to is:
http://www.pshnw6510990nmo-34nue7700.net/go.php?l=0019

I've tried running Ad-Aware in the Smart Scan mode; it couldn't find
what's causing the problem. I tried deleting my browser cache and all
installed items (including Flash) to no avail.

I'm running IE 6.0 SP1 under Windows 2000 Service Pack 3. Note that
this is my office computer, installing or updating anything is not
permitted therefore I want to fix this manually.

In the meantime I've set my browser security to High, which blocks the
requests to install additional software (I always click No to them),
but the popups still appear.
