Where can I purchase alloy steel hex head 8-32 bolts? They need to be alloy steel (not stainless, not titanium, plastic etc.). The length is not too crucial. They are also preferably not ridiculously expensive either... what I mean is, a good answer does not involve getting them custom machined/treated etc. for $50 a bolt. 8-32 is a standard bolt/screw size (Number 8 is the size, 32 is the number of threads per inch), but I just can't find any with a hex head, which seems odd to me, since hex heads are pretty standard. The preferred answer will contain contact information for a supplier that can ship to Canada. |

The first link is for "Hex SOCKET Head" which means that it has an internal, hex shaped hole that you insert an allen key into... this isn't what I need... it needs to be a regular hex head... one you could put a wrench onto. I called the second company, and after being passed around to different branches in the US and Canada, determined that they do not in fact make the correct product, despite being able to select it in their quote form. The form is very general though, it just has every size of bolt and every length etc. They do not make all the possible combinations. I guess this is an oddball item... but no one seems to know why... |

Sounds good. I've emailed Rodrigo, and hopefully he will confirm everything with a quote. I assume your last comment is a response from him? Getting them with a washer is a bit weird, but probably ok... as I said in my question, I don't want to get them custom made (likely expensive) which is what he seems to be suggesting for without a washer. I'll reply here again when I get in touch with Rodrigo. Sorry if I seem skeptical, but lots of companies seem to initially think they have the correct product, but it ends up that they don't... |

Hi scottwebster-ga I can understand you're skepticall, it's a
difficult item. I jost hope you get what you want. In fact what I
wrote before is an answer from Rodrigo. He does have them in stock
with a washer, unless he is confused whish is not likely. Also labor
is pretty cheap in Mexico, consider the custom made part anyway. Good
luck!
