Question ID: 404226
By what method and using what readily available ingredients can I
preserve insects (dead ones) in some kind of clear resin so that kids
can study them?

My kids find bugs. Alot of them. Unusual ones. How can we preserve
these (dead) bugs in a clear, solid resin so that they can be viewed
by students.

Examples: Walking stick, praying mantis, black widow spider (yes, we
know - now thoroughly dead), daddy longlegs, various grasshoppers.

The ingredients must be readily available at retail by ordinary citizens.
The process should be explained - step by step if possible.

Please indicate search methods and provide supporting urls.

Thank you!
