how can i eliminate pop-ups? google toolbar worked great until i donwloaded windows media audio/video player today. now i get multiple pop-ups every time i get into internet explorer! what can i do to completely eliminate them? |

I use Opera web Browser and it stops every pop-up. I haven't seen any pop-up for the long time (as long as I use Opera). Try it... |

Assuming you are using a Windows PC, upgrade to XP SP2 with its Pop-up blocking and... If you must use IE as your web browser (with Google Bar support), use a modified version of IE called MyIE2 or now Maxthon. See http://www.maxthon.com formeral http://www.myie2.com Instead of Opera which is shareware or Ad based, use the free Mozilla or FireFox as your web browser. See http://www.mozilla.org |
