Need math and Java/Python/PHP savvy researcher to review the following
PDF document, and summarize the highlights of the article. In
particular, I'm looking for the sections that contain the most useful
and important information, in the your opinion.
Goal: With the answer, I expect to know exactly how one would begin
to implement the math behind the calculations contained in the
article, in Java or Python or PHP. Note that I do not need the entire
application built. I've got the web front end / database backend
done. I'm looking for help building a web of trust algorithm, and
need some pointers on how to begin doing this. In case you're not
sure if you want to do this, a web of trust is very similar, if in
fact not identical, to the way Slashdot.org works with its
moderation/karma point system. This works to keep stupid comments out
of view of the user. In other words, everyone, can post a comment,
but stupid, foul, bogus type comments are moderated down and not
displayed depending on a threshold rating.
The idea for the question, is that I will then be able to post my
project feature/specification request on a rent a coder type site.
In conclusion I expect the following:
1) Summary of article, highlighting important sections and points.
2) Example of code of how you would implement the algorithm. Does
not need to be lengthy or detailed, however, of course, I do expect
comments on the snippets of code you write, if they are not
self-explanatory.
3) Example of how you would post such a request to a project board,
keeping in mind what you as a programmer would want to know before
tackling such a project.
4) Estimate of time involved in programming such a job. |
