Rossland,
While I make further searching, please find below a link to data about
a gallery that is selling the original painting:

Luntes-ga,
Thank-you for the link. I have been in touch with the gallery and
they told me they did not know who the publisher or owner of the
rights was. Lazslo Neogrady has a son/grandson Miklos Neogrady who is
also an artist. Two of Lazslo's other paintings have been licensed
into posters/prints.

Rossland,
First of all, there are three Neogrady:
 NEOGRADY Antal (1861-1942)
 NEOGRADY László (1896-1962)
 NEOGRADY Miklos (XX)
Probably grandfather, son and grandson.
The painting is Lazlo's.
I don't know if you have already seen a poster of the painting or if
you want to get the license to print the painting.
It's more of a legal question or do you want to contact a printer that
has already published it?
I'll keep searching and I think I will get more information on Miklos.
From my poit of view, if the painting is not yet turned into a poster,
the rights may be of descendants or of the owner of the canvas ( the
gallery, the actual owner or the future owner that buys it from the
gallery).
Would you please clarify better what your intention is?
Forgive me for my english. I'm Brazilian and english is a second language for me.

Luntes-ga,
Thank-you for your feedback. I contacted the gallery that owns the
painting and because the artist has not been deceased for ninety years
or more, the copyright lies with his estate (I'm assuming).
I would like to print the painting on a home decor item.
Two of his other paintings have been turned into prints. The
companies that had those prints made would have to have had a
licensing agreement with the owner of Neogrady's copyrights. I'm
thinking Miklos may be one of the owners or would know who the owner
is.
Thank-you for your help. I think your English is excellent. (I'm in Canada.)

Rossland,
I have just read your comment.
As I thought, Miklos may have the answer. I'll search Miklos' contact,
as I have also e-mailed art.com inquiring about the rights of Sunlit
Garden (the one that has turned into a poster).
Miklos is definitely Laszlo's son.
When I have information on Miklos or from art.com, I'll post a comment.

Rossland,
I tried to get further information for you, but it was kind of hard to
find something else on the internet.
I e-mailed fineartph@aol.com (Fine Art Photographers site - I'm not
sure if this is the real name.I don't have the exact name now), and
this is their reply:

"Neogrady went out of copyright in the UK and USA in 1992 (fifty
years). Whether he was subject to revived copyright under European
legislation extending copyright would depend on whether Hungary had 50
or 70 year protection when it joined the EEC. I am not sure of the
position under US law, but I think that there are no revived copyright
provision under the recent US legislation and therefore he would be
out of copyright in the US."

I might receive another answer about the subject and, when it arrives,
I'll post another comment.

That's all I could find. Hope it helps you.
Best regards

Sorry, Rossland,
Now I realized that they were talking about Laszlo's father, Antal senior.
I'll try a little bit more to get the information you need.
