I have been searching for a book I owned about 10 years ago. It was a
non-fiction book that told the story of two Texas businessmen. The
first owned a comic strip character licensing company (that licensed
many charadters including the Bloom County characters of Burke
Breathed). The second was a cattle rancher that was developing a new
breed of cattle. I have been unable to locate the title of this book.
Can you help?

Hello.

The book was "Small Fortunes: Two Guys in Pursuit of the American
Dream" by Edward Zuckerman.

From a review on Amazon.com:

"From Library Journal
Journalist Zuckerman profiles two ambitious and energetic
entrepreneurs, Pete Binion and Jim Teal, and chronicles their
endeavors to establish lucrative businesses. Binion invests in the
breeding and raising of a genetically superior cow called the Senepol.
Teal, who started out in fast food, markets and sells T-shirts based
on popular cartoon characters."

search strategy:
cattle breed "comic strip character"
amazon.com, zuckerman "small fortunes"

Thanks.
