What are the best auction sites which have listings from various
businesses' auctioning their surplus, closeout or liquidating
merchandise (or merchandise from wherever)in lots. "Best" would be
defined by the number and value of listings for auction, how popular
the site is I suppose, how old is it, sites' profitability, or
whatever criteria you may think of also. I'm not interested in sites
devoted to single industries unless that site has a huge number of
auction listings perhaps. Also not interested in sites devoted to
equipment. It is hard to ask you for a certain number of sites as I'm
not sure how many are good and not listing merchandise for auction
that has already been purchased from the original source. I would
like a brief explanation as to why you list each site. (I have used
ebay and it doesn't seem good for what I'm looking for.) Please let me
know if anything in my question is unclear to you.

Basically I want to know the five to ten heaviest trafficked online
auction sites of general merchandise which auction mostly "liquidated"
or "closeout" or "surplus" merchandise in lots. Not single items for
personal use but a multiple number of the the same thing or many
different items all sold together (as when a business closes, or an
estate is auctioned in it's entirety for example).
I'm not interested in single item auction sites which limit
themselves to only industrial equipment or jewelry for example.
I hope this helps. Please don't hesitate to ask for any further clarification.
