Dear culverbil,

For copyright reasons, I cannot reproduce the whole Japanese text or
its translation, but I can show you how to obtain a word-for-word
translation from Altavista's Babelfish service.

Altavista: Babelfish
http://babelfish.altavista.com/

On the Babelfish site, enter up to 150 words (Japanese characters)
into the text window at top. Then select "Japanese to English" from
the menu immediately beneath, and let 'er rip with the "Translate"
button. For example, the passage

????????????????????????????????????????
????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
??????????????????????????????????????
????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

is rendered in English as follows.

The popularity is red circular zooming even in Japan as the good looks like
the actress and the soprano which holds the beautiful voice. In 1997 it
decorates in the Vienna national opera place "puritanistic sensational debut
vain," now even "the signboard daughter" of the national opera place is said.
Perfect technical skill of ??????? not only is learned, also expression
power and performance power are preeminent. It came to the point of the she
this October, to gather famous of opera aria, to become Japan first and
  opening the "solo opera concert".

The syntax is a bit muddled, but I think the general meaning comes
through. I strongly suspect that the untranslated characters above
denote Bonfadelli's name, rendered in Japanese syllabic writing. This
passage is the introduction to an interview with Bonfadelli, the
entire text of which you will find below her picture, about halfway
down the page whose address you gave above.

The first question in the interview is

??????????????????????????????????????????????

or

This fall, finally the first solo recital actualizes in Japan. Nevertheless,
  it is the colorful program.

to which Bonfadelli answers

??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

or

This time you intend probably to keep playing the various women in one night.
In the recital of one time, as for playing the various people, being serious
enormously really, power is required first. When you become tired, very such
a concert is not possible, (laughing). In case of the concert unless
furthermore, being different from opera performance, there is no set while
and, there are no either clothes, because it is the case that you do, you must
keep entering to the box which one one is different psychologically. Passing
the fact that such as that, in order to finish to become she, you endeavor, it
is. Very, it is difficult thing, but....

and you'll have to copy-and-paste the rest into Babelfish yourself, in
paragraph-sized pieces, since copyright regulations prevent me from
doing so in this venue.

Thank you for posing such an interesting and enlightening question. I
will seek out Bonfadelli recordings myself when I have a chance.

Regards,

leapinglizard

Dear leapinglizard,
Many thanks. I have already tried babelfish, but kept getting error 157.
However I think I am right in assuming that at no time does the site
offer a recording (CDorDVD) of La Bonfadelli. I feel sure "excite" is
a Jp record Co.
Hence my great interest----I thought I`d made a rare find.
If you want an opera Get La Traviata on TDK DVD (try eBay pricewise)
If you want Bonfadelli & Bruson in "arias" concert Get Jp. Voce LVVC-006 From
Japan only (but beware the shipping costs)
If you discover that mclassic.excite.co.jp does do a CD by Bonfadelli, I would
be really grateful to hear. Thank you again BILL
