that want or would there be a more preferred title.

"Google Answers Researcher" is the job title given to us by Google
Answers. Note that we are not employees, but contractors.

Since this is a question to which there is only one correct answer,
creativity really doesn't come into play. Although we could dream up
other titles, they would have no official standing.

Personally, if I had my druthers, I'd like my title to be something
whimsical like "Data Sleuthette," but I doubt that The Powers That
Goog would be amused.

Hey, Pink--

Can't help wondering why not post the answer, since there's only one
and this is it. Sometimes I can see why GA researchers post comments
instead of answers (usually I think it's when they have only a partial
answer or are just pointing the way rather than researching the
topic), but in a case like this I must say I'm puzzled.

Tryx,

Obviously the customer was seeking something beyond "Google Answers
Researcher," in view of the comment "not the most creative answer in
the world." I'd be glad to post an answer if I felt that I knew what
kind of answer would be fully satisfactory. I just don't have a very
good grasp on the customer's expectations here.

Perhaps the questioner wants to know the types of jobs done by
Researchers (and Commenters?) in the 'real' world, outside Google
Answers.
