Am running windows 98. Deleted some things by mistake. When I want Outlook I get the two notices 1) "Outlook could not be started because MSOE.DLL could not be Initialized. 2)Outlook could not be started. The application was not able to open the Outlook store. Contact microsoft for assistance (Ox80040154,183) QUESTION: How doI repair without loosing the file and addresses? |

Seems you may only need to uncheck the read-only property of your stores file. See this Microsoft Technet article: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=238656 I'm not a researcher. I hope it helps! |

You must reinstall Outlook Express. If you haven't done so already, I suggest you upgrade to at least Internet Explorer version 5.5. This will also come with Outlook Express. When you install it, it will repair and upgrade your current installation, maintaining all of your current settings and addresses. To get the latest version of Outlook Express, you need to download and install the latest version of Microsoft Internet Explorer. Why?
