I have a HP K80 printer which says "press enter to align cartridges" -
the cartridges are aligned OK, and following the manual still results
in the error message shown - nothing can get rid of it..
I have had the problem before and the HP support led me through a
hidden menu, entering numbers to clear the error..
The printer is now unsupported by HP... |

Howdy isanders-ga,
If possible, please try the following:
- press and hold down "enter" when it says "press enter to align cartridges"
- press "setup" while holding down "enter"
See if it bypasses the "align cartridges" stage and goes to the date, etc.
Thanks!
Looking Forward, denco-ga - Google Answers Researcher

Hi Denco - sorry - no Setup button... There is a Menu button, but
holding it down just cycles through menu options rather than give a
different option after a short time..
There is also an Enter button, but because the error is "press enter
to align cartridges", it just aligns the cartridge ! ;-)

Hi isanders,
Have you tried uplugging the power plug from the "On" printer
for about a minute or so and then replugging it back in?
Please let me know if that helps you.
Thank you.

Hi GoogleExpert,
Sorry - no change - when the printer reboots, it goes through the
power on cycle and stops at the same old message...
THanks
