Dear Mark,

Should the hats and the shirts come from the same provider?

And, where should the company be located (or should we conduct a
worldwide research)?

I believe I understood your question, and I believe I have an answer.
There is a company called kathyjeanne( http://www.kathyjeanne.com/ )
That make Custom made hats the old fashioned way, hand crafted in
Fairfield, NJ factory on presses and molds that are over a century
old. They can probably make any hat type that you are looking for. I
am sure that they can assist you, and also they do Embroidery as well.
So if you are interested, I would contact them.

If you?re still interested in sourcing your own line of clothing, I
work for a global apparel sourcing company the produces private
clothing lines in all parts of the world. Depending on the qty you
order, fabric used, and complexity of design, the items you want to
produce can vary dramatically in price. As of now the worldwide quota
system for importing goods from China, Pakistan, India, etc has all
but been removed. Now is an excellent time for overseas sourcing.
There are companies out there that are one stop shops for making your
own line. The one I work for is one of them. With a solid business
plan in hand you can really on these companies to source & design your
line for your. The only thing left for you is the Marketing aspect.
Contact for further info if your still interested.
