I just watched Pleasantville tonight. I think it's a great movie!

It got me thinking about the way history moves along.

For example, the way segregation between blacks and whites moved on,
gays were accepted, the hippies era, teenagers movement. Etc etc.

The question I'm asking is, how long does it take on average, for
major social movements to move on?

For $2.00 I'm not asking for loads of quotes etc just an opinion would
do and a couple of web pages would do.

Cheers, S.

Pink Hippo,

By "to move on" do you mean, that its ideas would be widely accepted?

Does it move on or go round in cycles?

Homosexuality was mandatory among the Knights Templar, the Spartans, etc.

Also, it was the 'in thing' in English society circles in the 20's & 30's.

Slavery has now been refined by moving slave-like work from developed
economies to slave-like economies.
