Hello all..
I recently moved to a new home and realized that I have one of "those"
neighbors. The kind that have nothing to do and all day long to do it.
The house I bought is a real "fixer-up-er". Since working on the house
I've had building inspectors, police, dog wardens stoping by during
projects plus she has been a royal pain with stopping by and talking
to contractors. I'm a low key neighbor and I don't make any noise. If
anything, I'm trying to make my neighborhood a better place.
Anyways.. As much as I would like to torch her house or run over her
dog, I'm in a high profile position and can't get into trouble. I
would like to find a place to find legal ways of getting back at her.
(ex. health inspector for her apartment in the back of her house,
ect.) I live in NY. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If you think this neighbor might have home-based sources of income
such as babysitting, hairstyling, or such, you can report this to the
IRS. They do investigate such things, and there are few things less
pleasant than having the IRS on your tail.

Before you do anything drastic, you should try explaining your
situation in a kindly, but forceful, and detailed way to this lady.
Explain to her that your contractors, could make a costly error
because of something she said. The contractors charge you $80 per hour
to chat with her, that your time is less valuable, but you can't
afford much chatting time either.
Tell the supervisors that you don't want the lady on your property
nor chating with his workers. Neil

Revenge seldom pays off. However, if you feel she is breaking laws or
codes, you may contact the local Planning Department, who can force
her to clean up the exterior of her property.

I appreciate your answers thus far.. I've spoken with other neighbors
and they agree.. She is just a royal pain in the ass. Whenever work is
being done she has to check ex. that the fence is exactly a certain
height and not 1 inch higher. When living in a city you have to be a
little "bendable" when dealing with your neighbors. I will not be
bullied by the local pain in the butt. I want to send her the same
crap and stress that I am now getting from the city. The IRS is a good
idea... Is there a way to get people bumped up for jury duty? Perhaps
there's a rock throwing service in my area :)

Become a vile person to talk to. When she tries to talk with you do
things like sneeze in her direction without covering your mouth, pick
your nose a lot, adjust those bodily parts that need adjusting (no
need for explanation on that one), produce and spit large amounts of
phleghum, etc...also, invading her personal space will scare her away.
Lean in REALLY close when you talk with her. This is even more
effective after not brushing your teeth of after eating a combination
of ginger snap cookies and tomato juice.

You said that she has a dog. Sprinkle groung cayannes all over your
property...guaranteed that her dog will never return.

Does she peruse Google Answers? If she has a computer, you could
suggest that she checks out a question titled ?Bad Neighbors..?

My buttocks are already puckering at the embarrassment factor.
