Who are the investors behind americanrespect.com? Someone paid for a NYT ad in Sunday's paper - all I can find are typical things like registrar and web hosting company. Is this Soros? |

"We paid for the ad personally--and with our own money. It was money we could have spent on other things. But we have been highly frustrated that no public person or entity is articulating the issue, much less the path forward, in the way we believe can truly bring a solution. No one is articulating a thorough and historically grounded intellectual context for opposing these policies in Iraq. In a modest attempt to redress this, we took the approach of placing this ad and building the associated website." <http://www.americanrespect.com/aboutus.htm> I would doubt that it is George Soros (since Mr. Soros does not hide the organisations he supports), but I also find it peculiar that the "American Respect" people choose to stay anonymous. The information, which you already have, points to three private individuals and a small business, all in Swarthmore, PA. If I find anything worth of an answer, I'll post it. However, it is possible that they are telling the truth - they financed their own ads. I must say, that the wording and style of the essay does not sound as if it has been written by professionals. |

Just a comment: I did not post the information on these individuals exactly because they are PRIVATE individuals. I would discourage anyone to do so in the comments here. |
