I would like a poster of the Big Dipper consolation, with a magnified
view of darkest portion, plus a magnified view of the darkest portion
of that view. I have seen this poster in NZ but have been unable to
find it here.

I did not come across any posters of the Big Dipper, but I was amazed
at the number of very nice pictures that I did run across, on this
site. If you choose their "Science/Education" and then "Astronomy"
sections, they have something arond 450 different prints.
Hopefully someone else can track down the specific poster that you are
looking for. Good Luck!

I believe what you are looking for is a Hubble Deep field (North) image.

The HDFN was taken in the blank part of the Big Dipper, where "nothing is",
then a blowup of that field and the area of the HDF is
shown. THe last image shows the actual HDF with the galaxies.

Posters of the HDF abound, but the graphic you're looking for is not
so common but I have seen it. Good luck

Could try searching the alternative (English speaking) names ?The
Great Bear? or ?Ursa Major?.
