Hi Phone, In which country do you reside? It can be done, depending upon your laws. The Black Pages are available off the shelf. Entering a phone number will give you the name and address, if listed in your directory. Entering an address will not give you the other two elements, due to privacy laws. However, this is overcome with a thin veil by simply sorting all addresses alphabetically, then scrolling until you find your target address. This has been a hot privacy topic for years. The sellers of the databases use the argument that the same info is found in the telephone book. The privacy law however takes the issue that it's a matter of the retrieval method. This is then countered that we have the right to request silent or unlisted numbers. As usual, the onus is placed back upon the innocent to protect themselves. If you have a genuine concern with your telephone bill (or personal concerns with family), your provider may be legally bound to provide you with certain information as to who has been phoned from the phone line you for which you are paying. Good luck |

I think everybody who answered this question has overlooked the best source for a reverse look-up. Try ://www.google.com , enter the phone number in (XXX) XXX-XXXX format. This has worked for about 90% of the numbers I have saved in my cell phone. It hasn't worked on any cell numbers, and newly issued land-line numbers are almost always wrong. |
