This is absolutely insane. Is it any wonder that any new products,
ideas or inventions are brought to market, without costing thousands
of dollars. I am trying to locate, in the state of New Jersey,
ALUMINUM TUBE, that measures slightly smaller than 2 1/4 inches in
length, by 1 3/16 inches in width. In either 3/16 or 1/4 inch walls.
It is insane that every company that I contacted via the
Thomasregistry.com web site, does NOT have ANY aluminum tube in STOCK,
and no one, REPEAT, NOT ONE SINGLE PERSON RETURNED MY PHONE CALL OR
CONTACTED ME VIA EMAIL. I even contacted a company in Pittsburg PA,
nothing. Is this how small and corporate business succeeds in the USA,
I think not. Can anyone find an aluminum supplier, here in NJ and have
some aluminum tube in stock. Can someone at least get a person to
RETURN a call? How can these companies stay in business? Because I
only need a very small amount of tubing? C'mon get real people, if
this idea is worth bringing to market, then I'd surely be placing an
order for 100,000 pieces.

I'm pretty sure that tubing used on swimming pool heater gas valves
would meet your requirements. If I'm not mistaken, the tubing is
typically 1/4".
For Pentair Pool Products, use part #s:
075191
075192
075193
176084
076085
076086
You may be able to contact them and ask what the difference is in the
tubing; I'm not sure myself. 800-831-7133 or I believe the web
address is pentairpoolproducts.com.
You could also try a Teledyne Laars part # R-370. (Now owned by WaterPik).
Both of these items available at, or at least, through, a local pool store.

Hey Stockzguy,

When you phoned or e-mailed did you suggest the size of your full
order to a potential supplier?

Better still, ask 'em for a price on 25,000 units pre-cut. Then you
can negotiate down when you place your order of 100,000. Then compare
their price to you cutting your own units from them supplying say 12
foot lenghths.
