I want to buy some property in Italy, preferably close to the Alps. Trento seems to be nice place. The idea is to rent out the accomodation to holiday makers. I am not from Italy or even the EU. Can somebody please advise me on the following: 1) One or two really good websites or online resources for purchasing property in Italy, in ENGLISH. 2) Where can I get some good advise on the legalities of purchasing property as a foreinger, and not an EU citizen. Thanks |

A town which is currently receiving millions of visitors is San Giovanni Rotondo. I have a good friend who lives in a town nearby (Monte Sant'Angelo). It's in the South of Italy and many people go there to see Padre Pio. There are many hotels there already, but they never seem to be enough, and many people are selling their hotels 'cos they have no experience and can't cope. An example of the kind of structure you'll find in San Giovanni Rotondo is on www.lamadonnina.biz (an "affittacamer"e - which I think means bed and breakfast). |
