I read a recent article that stated that the average cost for medical insurance benefits was $9950 for family and $3650 for single individuals. While bargaining for a better salary, If I decide not to get the company medical benefits, what percentage of the total cost can I reasonably expect to receive as compensation in my salary? For married with family members as well as single persons. |

if you take "salary in lieu" you cannot expect to get the full amount as yr employer will have to pay payroll taxes on top of whatever they give you (which would not be payable on the healthcare money) if you can get 85-90% you'll be doing pretty well does that answer your question? |
